Dr. Michael Freda has been greeted with rave reviews from so many patients that we have to use the description of “exceptional”. He contemplates each patient’s situation so carefully, keeping in mind not only their present malocclusion and future development, but the patient’s personality and goals to arrive at the best personal treatment modality. He is that nice combination of professionally caring while instilling confidence and at the same time so very pleasant and humorous... a true gentleman.
Dr. Freda has been practicing orthodontics in northern New Jersey since 1986 and specializes in orthodontics. Dr. Freda received his Bachelor’s degree at Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, New Jersey. He then went on to complete his DMD at Tufts University in Boston. Dr. Freda went on to further improve his clinical abilities by completing a General Practice Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital from 1982-1983. Following his General Practice Residency, he went on to complete his Orthodontic Specialty Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) from 1984-1986.
Dr. Freda also currently holds many professional affiliations; he is a member of the American Association of Orthontists, the American Dental Associations, the Essex County Dental Society, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists. He is also an Invisalign® Certified Provider. He enjoys the relationship that develops with both children and adult patients. “It is very fulfilling,” says Dr. Freda, “to be able to provide a service which aids in improving self-esteem as well as the confidence to face life with a new smile.”
